At HyET Solar we're looking for a Mechanical Engineer - Vacuum / Fluid dynamics  to join our team.

The role:

Join us in revolutionizing solar energy production with innovative roll-to-roll processes, directly contributing to a sustainable future and a greener planet. Initially, you’ll focus on further developing and optimizing our current 40MWp factory. Over the course of the next year, you’ll also contribute to the conceptual design of a new state-of-the-art 1GWp factory, which is planned to be operational in approximately five years. As part of the Machine Engineering team, you are at the forefront of this exciting transformation, designing cutting-edge production tools for flexible solar modules with diverse applications. As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll specialize in vacuum systems and fluid dynamics, playing a critical role in developing and optimizing PECVD and APCVD production tools. This role offers a structured growth path to becoming a Technical Project Manager

Your tasks:

  • Design and simulate vacuum systems to optimize tool performance. 

  • Guide the assembly, testing, and commissioning of machinery. 

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure quality and efficiency. 

Our ideal candidate has:

  • 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering roles. 

  • MSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with expertise in vacuum systems or fluid dynamics. 

  • A hands-on approach and ambition to grow into a project management role. 

  • Fluent English communication skills (Dutch is a plus). 

  • Experience with automation, process control, and engineering documentation is an advantage. 

What we offer

  • Our terms and conditions are conforming the Collective Agreement Metalektro (CAO);

  • A fulltime position for 40 hours per week, mostly within office hours;

  • A salary ranging between € 4.000,- and € 6.000,- for a 40 hours working week depending on relevant working experience;

  • 27 holidays and 13 scheduled paid days per year for a fulltime job;
